Chris Brown has announced the release date for his long awaited new album X. The singer posted the news on his Instagram page, with just the date written across the album artwork, and judging from the comments, fans are delighted to see that Chris’ sixth solo album will be hopefully coming out sooner rather than later.
Since news of the new album came out a couple of years ago, it has certainly had its fair share of push-backs, which haven’t exactly been helped by Brown’s legal troubles. But since his prison release, the singer has been back in studio putting together the finishing touches to X. Chris Brown has mentioned that this new album will be a move away from the “Euro beats..and Pop” and have more of a classic R&B/soul sound, paying homage to “the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, the Sam Cookes”.
Just one listen to “Fine China” certainly confirms that, and whilst there has been no shortage of Chris Brown music (he just released “New Flame” featuring Usher and Rick Ross), there is still so much expectation for this coming double-disc album. Hopefully it will be worth the wait!
