Ever since John le Carré’s The Constant Gardener was made into a film back in 2005, interest in the master of spy novels has increased. In 2011 Tomas Alfredson directed a new adaption of le Carré masterpiece Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy; in 2014 A Most Wanted Man followed suit; now, in 2016, the BBC is airing a highly-acclaimed adaption of The Night Manager.
Yet you can prepare yourself for one more, as experienced TV director Susanna White is tackling Our Kind of Traitor for her third film project. After being given a trailer, we have now been offered a poster for the new spy thriller.
Starring Damien Lewis, Ewan McGregor, Naomi Harris and Stellan Skarsgård, Our Kind of Traitor finds ordinary couple Perry (McGregor) and Gail (Harris) swept into a world of organised crime after meeting Dima (Skarsgård), a Russian money launderer for the Mafia, on holiday in Marrakech. Dima then asks for their assistance in alerting MI6, who send in agent Hector (Lewis), who may just be in over his head.
Our Kind of Traitor, originally written in 2010, shall be released May 13 and you can see the trailer and poster below.
