New artwork has been released for Suffragette to tie in with ‘Emmeline Pankhurst Day’. Pankhurst will be portrayed by the one and only Meryl Streep in the film directed by Sarah Gavron. Along with Streep, Helen Bonham Carter and Carey Mulligan, the three lead ladies stand sure of themselves with their ‘votes for women’ badges in the new one-sheet poster art for the film. It is a wonderful way to acknowledge a woman from the past, who was a political activist and contributed to the cause of securing the right for women to vote in Britain. Suffreagette will be opening the British Film Festival on October 7.
