Acclaimed Australian rock band Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds has just come back to stage with a new announcement which has surprised fans. “You can expect a new album next week. It is called Ghosteen. It is a double album”, stated the frontman Cave.
Further details about their new work have been released: the first part of the double album will be about “the children” and the second part will involve “the Parents“, melted together in a “migrating spirit“, according to the band.
Nick Cave has always wanted to be close to his fans, freely answering questions and giving them information on his recent works, via his website. In that same vein, Cave also revealed the cover of this new album and the tracklist to their fandom. At the moment, no audio tracks have been released yet.
The band has a long history behind it, since it was founded in 1983, it has had a growing success over the years. The last time they recorded an opera was in 2016, when they launched their latest album Skeleton Tree. Since then, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have been keeping busy with their ‘Conversations with Nick Cave’ tour, which they are still adding more show dates to, leading into 2020.
