PETIRII, hailing from Nottingham, UK, has recently released his new single, “Long Night.” This smooth R&B track captures the emotions of anticipation and excitement that come with reconnecting after time apart.
“Long Night” showcases PETIRII’s ability to blend deep emotions with smooth, captivating sounds, combining soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics to create an immersive listening experience. The song’s production features subtle, atmospheric instrumentation that allows the vocals to stand out, capturing the sense of anticipation and emotional depth of the theme.
PETIRII has always been drawn to music and its power to evoke emotion. Growing up in a religious Jamaican household, he was influenced by gospel legends like BeBe and CeCe Winans.
His journey with music began at just 10 years old when he auditioned for a respected music school in Southwell. There, he studied classical music, chorister training, and music theory, setting the stage for his musical career.
Beyond music, PETIRII also developed a passion for dance, exploring Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, and Soul. This led to professional dance roles, including performances in the West End, collaborations with JD Sports, and appearances on BBC and Sky TV. While dance played a major part in his artistic expression, his love for music continued to evolve.
During his time at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, PETIRII honed his skills in Rock and Country music while also mastering production, mixing, live sound rigging, and DJing.
It was here that he began transitioning into a recording artist, fusing his diverse influences into a sound that is unique. After earning his BSc in Audio and Recording Technology, PETIRII started sharing his music online, where his intricate acapella covers on SoundCloud gained attention.
With a mix of influences ranging from gospel to R&B and beyond, PETIRII continues to refine his sound.
