Outsider is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist from Ireland, and being a songwriter, he is inspired by Bruce Springsteen and also by classical British poetry.
“Míol Mór Mara” is the latest track unveiled by Outsider, this alternative rock song is energetic and danceable. The instrumental part is rich and of high quality, there are all the ingredients of a good rock song. The voice of the singer is expressive and measured.
The Irish artist’s sound is also appreciated in the television field, his music has recently been featured in the Netflix show Shadowhunter and “Míol Mór Mara” has been chosen as a soundtrack for FIFA 18.
Outsider explained the inspiration for the track saying: “The song is about a child with downs syndrome I worked with when I was suffering from huge heartbreak and it had a profound influence on my life. The kid was so inspiring and pulled me out of a dark place really just by spending time with him. It’s got a lot of biblical references to Jonah and The Whale, which is symbolic of diving into the sea of the unknown and becoming something far greater than yourself in a spiritual sense”.
