Due to an unspecified problem, Ozzy Osbourne is due to have surgery in May, and as a result, Ozzfiesta organizers have had to cancel this year’s festival, stating that, “Ozzy is having surgery, scheduled for May, following his South American tour. He requires at least four weeks of recovery time. We are very disappointed that we need to cancel”. This five-day event was planned to entail performances by Ozzy’s solo band, an appearance from the Black Label Society, as odd as it sounds, a dinner party with Sharon Osbourne, and an acoustic performance by artist Zakk Wylde, before finally concluding with a charity golf tournament and comedy sketches.
Obviously this is sad news for all the audiences expected to descend on Riviera Maya’s Hard Rock Hotel in Mexico, after already buying tickets for the festival which was schedule for four days from April 27. In other news, it looks as though Black Sabbath are expected to complete their final album together including a feature from original drummer Bill Ward, with their final shows together to be held at the end of 2015, after which Ozzy Osbourne plans to continue his solo career, onwards on the amazing journey that has seen him to the age of 66.
