Rihanna is set to star in an autobiographical documentary with Battleship director Peter Berg at the helm, Deadline reports.
This will be the second time the pair have collaborated after the star made her acting debut in the big-budget 2012 sci-fi hit. The project, tentatively titled Rihanna has been described by Berg to be an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon”. He also stated that the film will be a chance to see inside the Bajan star’s private life and personality, saying it will be “much more a character study than a music film“.
It’s also thought that the documentary will adopt a similar style to the Bob Dylan film, Don’t Look Back. There is no current release date, however it is now in development. Rihanna is currently embarking on her Anti World Tour in support of her recent eighth studio album of the same name. The album hit #1 on the Billboard 200, and has produced the hit singles “Work” and “Kiss It Better”.
