The NBA 2K15 soundtrack, as brought to you by one Pharrell Williams, has revealed its track list and it is a mixed bag to say the least. The next instalment of the popular 2K series will feature twenty seven songs including tracks from A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Missy Elliott, and Afrika Bambaataa, as well as a few Pharrell songs thrown in of course.
Following in the soundtrack-steps of Jay Z and LeBron James, Pharrell spoke on his decision to go for an alternative approach, telling Complex magazine, “I thought it’d be such an interesting twist to have the girls weigh in on the song list, because they’re the ones that listen to it, they listen to it just as much“. But will Pharrell-for-the-girls go down well with the boys? Fan reactions so far are mixed. Some people are loving the throwback entries of Lauryn Hill and Snoop Dogg et al, whilst others are promising to turn down the volume when they play. Stream the soundtrack below and see what you think. NBA 2K15 is due out on the 7th of October.
