A collaboration between Piso 21 and Black Eyed Peas titled “Mami” has been released with a music video to accompany this new love anthem.
Piso 21 is a Colombian latin pop and reggaeton music group formed back in 2011, which took its named from the building they started performing in.
For the last eight years, the band has been making lit collaborations with several international famous artists to release and uncountable amount of summer hits like “Me Llamas” with Maluma, “Oh Child” with Robin Schulz or “Besándote” with Anne-Marie.
Now the latin band has joined forces with the rap group legends for a new summer bop. “Mami” is an international ode to love, keeping a constant exchange between Spanish and English lyrics to express the way they feel about a special someone.
The music video was born from a Black Eyed Peas and Piso 21’s original idea and has been directed by Shadae Lamar Smith. The clip sets a retro-future tone by recalling the iconic US music show The Ed Sullivan Show, and it is combined with short romantic clips that show each artist who performs in the track sitting on a coach and singing the sweet lyrics message to its own special “mami”.
