If you have not been living under a rock for the past three years, you will know about the sensation that is Pitch Perfect – the film which ruined thousands of girls’ GCSE results, because instead of revising, they were on their laptop’s learning ‘the Cup Song’. Shortly after the first film was released, tt was announced that there would be a sequel due to such popularity. The trailer was released a short while ago and we are certainly in for some laughs. The film will star Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and Brittany Snow.
The general plot of this film centres around the barden bellas competing in an international acapella championship which no American group has ever one, the reason for this (according to Elizabeth Banks) is that “the whole world hates” them. Perhaps this film won’t quite fill the gap its predecessor left, however as long as we have the music, I’m sure the film will be amazing. Pitch Perfect 2 is coming out in cinemas May 2015.
