The Olympics are this year and the 100 day count down until the games begin in Rio de Janiero have begun. This week, label Polo Ralph Lauren unveiled their designs for Olympians and Paralympians to parade in during the closing ceremonies. The unveiling was televised on the Today programme with marathon swimmer and silver medalist, Hayley Anderson, swimmer and reality TV star, Ryan Lochte and wrestler Jordan Burroughs.
Of course the countries colours of red, white and blue were in full swing. The designs seem to capture the idea of the all American lifestyle with the perfect house and complete with the picket fence; iconic and recognisable of the country. The blue and white cotton tees and white chino shorts make for a casual sporty vibe whilst being enhanced by a tri-coloured stripy ribbon belt.
To add to the excitement the look comes complete with a button down shirt which athletes will have the personal choice of red, white or blue. Not forgetting the famous embroidered Ralph Lauren pony and tri-coloured boat shoes, this design seems to embody everything a patriotic look should be whilst encompassing the brands style. The USA team clothing is available for the public to purchase for men, women and children, online at RalphLauren.com.
