Indi dream-pop band Rainbow City Park has mesmerised listeners with their latest single, “Complicate This”. This enchanting track, recorded with renowned producers Mike Davis and Richie Smith, showcases the band’s signature blend of infectious melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
“Complicate This” delved into the intricacies of romantic relationship, capturing the tension and hesitation that often accompany dating.
With lines like “Nervous about what you might think / Are you on the same page as me?” the lyrics are created to resonate with anyone who has navigated the complexities of emotional connections. Whilst the chorus invites listers to confront the delicate balance between desire and fear, making it both relatable and timeless.
Rainbow City park are from Northern California, they draw inspiration from the 90 alt- rock scene and contemporary artist such as Phoebe Bridgers, Diiv, and Pinegrove. The band was formed in 2021 when guitarist Chris O’Keefe began crafting an intital collection of riffs and brought together drummer Ryan Williams, Lead Vocalist and Guitarist Dani Judith and also guitarist, Nick Nassab to complete the line up.
As well as their energetic live shows, the Band have made a name for themselves in the scene of Indi music. What is lined up for them is the release of their atmospheric music video, which will be shot by Jake Kilgore of Chrome Ghost. The music video is bound to be realised on October 18th, immersive viewers in the song’s emotive journey and enhancing its vivid storytelling.
