Despite previous reports and rumors, it turns out Harrison Ford is cool with the new Blade Runner sequel. Ridley Scott, who directed the original 1982 science fiction classic, has been talking to MTV News and has revealed what both he and Ford have been thinking about the future movie.
Apparently the script is written and ready to go and Ford is very happy with the outcomes! Scott has this to say on the matter; “I sent him this [script], and he said it’s the best thing he’s ever read,” Scott said. “It’s very relevant to what happened in the first one”. Scott continued the interview, questioning whether he would return to the directors chair to helm the movie.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Scott will jump back into the world of Blade Runner but in the mean time, his epic swords and sandals adventure Exodus: Gods and Kings is out in cinemas on Boxing Day. As well as this, Scott is busy planning for a Prometheus sequel and teased that the film will focus on the relationship between Noomi Rapace’s character, Elizabeth, and Michael Fassbender’s David. Exciting stuff, Sci/Fi fans!
