Academy Award nominee Robert Downey Jr. can be seen in the first trailer for The Judge. In the film, he is a successful lawyer who travels back to the small town he grew up to bury his mother. The plot soon thickens when his father who he doesn’t speak to is suspected of murdering her. Not only is his Dad a town judge but also needs a lawyer to defend him. The trailer is dramatic, involves comedy with the core of its story centred on family, lost time and forgiveness. The film also features actors Billy Bob Thornton, Vera Farmiga and Melissa Leo. It will premiere in UK cinemas on the 17th of October 2014.
