Skipping a appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past, actress Rose Byrne and her character, Moira MacTaggert, was last seen in Matthew Vaughn‘s epic X-Men: First Class but now it seems like she’ll be returning once again for X-Men: Apocalypse. According to producer Simon Kinberg, the X-men gang were keen to get her back for the third flick of the relaunched franchise.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kinberg had this to say; “She’s a significant character in the movie. We ended First Class with Charles having wiped portions of her memory of her experience with the X-Men. They are, essentially, strangers to her when she meets them. It’s certainly a rich relationship that we started to dig into in ‘First Class’ and would like to mine more in this one”.
Sounds good to me, Kinberg. Rose Byrne pretty much always kills it and her MacTaggert character was a solid attribute, it will be nice to see some of the slightly forgotten aspects of First Class making an appearance in Apocalypse! Directed by Bryan Singer and featuring newbies Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp; X-Men: Apocalypse makes it way to theatres from May 19, 2016.
