Reflecting on the creation of “Love Song,” Ruby Bell, whose real name is Claire Montgomery, explains that the track explores the feeling of being in love while struggling to express it uniquely. Ruby and Dylan Brady co-wrote the song, drawing inspiration from Ruby’s initial experiences in Los Angeles.
Ruby Bell’s musical journey began in her childhood in Connecticut, where she experimented with GarageBand alongside her father and sister. Her early influences ranged from Bruce Springsteen and Björk to Donna Summer and Young Thug.
While studying counseling at Lesley University in Boston, she discovered a broader range of music, including the influential PC Music scene. During this time, she met Happy Hardcore producers Replicator and Gupi, who played a significant role in her musical development. Through Gupi, she connected with Dylan Brady, who was impressed by her playful yet soothing sound.
