Ruby Bell Unveils ‘Greatest Hits’ EP And ‘Wanted To Go Home’ Video

Emerging from the vibrant New York City music scene, Ruby Bell unveils her debut EP titled Greatest Hits, released under Dog Show Records and produced by the notable Dylan Brady of 100 gecs.

The EP is a compilation of six tracks that introduce listeners to Ruby’s eclectic and vivid musical style, blending elements of bubblegum pop with electronic influences. To coincide with the EP launch, Ruby also released a music video for the track “Wanted To Go Home,” directed by Iris Kim and featuring a cameo by Brady, which can be viewed here.

Ruby Bell, whose real name is Claire Montgomery, started her musical journey in Connecticut where she experimented with GarageBand alongside her family. Her musical influences are diverse, ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Björk, and from Donna Summer to Young Thug, enriching her sound with a variety of textures and styles.

Ruby’s transition from a casual creator to a professional artist accelerated during her time at Lesley University in Boston. It was here that she connected with the PC Music scene and collaborators like Happy Hardcore producers Replicator and Gupi, eventually leading to her partnership with Dylan Brady.

Ruby describes her Greatest Hits EP as a collage of her life experiences and interests, including internet culture and pop aesthetics. The tracks like “Love Song” and “We Were At The Club,” reflect her knack for catchy hooks blended with introspective lyrics.

The debut is both a personal narrative and a sonic experiment, showcasing Ruby’s potential to carve a niche in the modern pop landscape. With this EP, Ruby Bell is not just releasing music; she’s inviting listeners into a whimsical, yet deeply personal world.
