Starting from humble TikTok bedroom covers to now collaborating with renowned songwriters and producers, NOEL’s musical journey reflects his undeniable commitment to the craft. Released in late August, “When You’re Not Mine” heralded his entry into the professional music scene. In a remarkably short span, he has amassed over 87,000 followers across various social media platforms and received more than 10 million views on his TikTok videos.
Drawing inspiration from illustrious artists like James Arthur and Lewis Capaldi, NOEL channels his innate talent into emotionally charged and soulful pieces. His latest, “Headed North,” co-written with Joel Gunnarsson and Freddy Alexander, offers listeners an intimate look into the challenges of fostering deep connections and confronting personal vulnerabilities.
Speaking about the creation of “Headed North,” NOEL described the process as a therapeutic revelation. “The song emerged from introspection about my tendency to exit relationships as they deepen. The discussions during its creation illuminated my instinctual retreat from emotional risk and potential pain, a realization that hit close to home.”
Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, the 20-year-old NOEL’s life journey is a testament to adaptability and resilience. Once a passionate football player, an unfortunate knee injury diverted him from the sports world. However, instead of succumbing to despair, NOEL pivoted and discovered a new medium to channel his passion: music.
