“Morning Terrors Of Dread” is the latest single from Shilpa Ray’s upcoming new album titled Door Girl. The new single from the artist has been added to the ‘This Is Indie’ playlist by Apple Music.”EMT Police and the Fire Department” was the first single take form Door Girl and it has been released with an official music video earlier this year.
Shilpa Ray is a New York based singer who experiences different musical styles, including indie, jazz and punk rock especially. Her sound has been compared to Blondie and The Cramps. Shilpa Ray started her music career in 2006 when she published her first album titled Beat The Devil.
“Morning Terrors Of Dread” start as a frizzy jazz song but in the final part, turns in a strong punk rock song. Compared to the previous works, this track is musically and vocally more complex and elaborate than the other songs but the Shilpa Ray style is still well recognizable.
The musical arrangement is rich and interesting, all instruments are recognizable and perfectly harmonized. The voice of thesinger is worm in the first part and is strong in the final. This single is extraordinary and makes us hope for a varied and musically interesting new album.
Shilpa Ray planned a massive winter-autumn tour, the will be in Europe on October. She is going to perform live in London, Brighton and Gateshead before moving to Est Europe. Make sure to get a ticket.
