Tech capital of the US, Silicon Valley, based in South San Francisco, is gearing up for its first fashion week, to be held mid-May. The three day event, stylized as Silicon Valley Fashion Week?, will focus on a different theme each day, starting with movement and lighting, followed by wearable technology and closing with collections from crowdfunded designers. The event, founded by Betabrand CEO Chris Lindland, will replace models with drones; “The clothing kind of flutters and dances in the wind and does things humans can’t“, Lindland explained.
