The rap legend is coming back! Snoop Dogg has announced his upcoming album titled From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.
The icon used social media to make the announcement, but it might have flown under the radar of most people. In the same post, Snoop Dogg also confirmed the release of the second single of the album.
The new track will follow “C.E.O.” which was released on March 19. The second single is entitled “Roaches In My Ashtray” and will be released by the end of the week on April 2 along with its music video.
From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites will be the follow-up to his August 2019 album I Wanna Thank Me, which featured incredible guests such as Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, YG, Trey Songz, and Russ.
In addition to this new solo album, which has no release date for now, fans can look forward to another album coming where Snoop Dogg is working along with Ice Cube, Too $hort, and E-40. This supergroup album is entitled Mt. Westmore.
Too $hort also revealed that they “have recorded somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 songs. Volume 1 will be released in April and the rest of the volumes will follow“, but he didn’t confirm the exact release date of their first project.
In addition to these two music projects, Snoop Dogg is also returning to acting. Indeed, he will play Pasto Swift in the upcoming 50 cent series Black Mafia Family, the filming for which began in January. The series will be set in the late ’80s in Detroit and is inspired by the true story of two brothers who created one of the most influential crime families in the United States.
The rap icon is giving us a lot of things to looking forward to and we just have to wait for the different release dates and go listen to the single “Roaches In My Ashtray” on Friday.
