Based in New York, Ryan Scott started by composing music for adverts (or commercials for you Americans) and gradually made his way to working on film scores such as Looper, released in 2012 and The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby (2013). Alongside this, he had his personal music career, his first EP At War With Walls And Mazes won him NPR’s ‘Best New Artist’ in 2008 and has worked with artists from Lorde to Richard Parry of Arcade Fire.
His new project Son Lux sees him collaborating with drummer Ian Chang and guitarist Rafiq Bhatia, and they have just announced a new upcoming album titled Bones, due to be released on June 23 via Glassnote Records. Listen to the album’s first single “Change Is Everything” via NPR here.
