South East London artist Erica Manzoli unveils her latest single, “Body Double“, an engaging fusion of wit, drama, and pop vibrance.
Inspired by her personal experiences post-breakup, “Body Double” captures the artist’s feelings of being replaced by a lookalike, providing a unique twist to the usual narratives around heartbreak.
The song is a significant step in Erica’s musical evolution, seamlessly blending a ’50s-influenced sound reminiscent of Stephen Sanchez with a rock-tinged chorus that could easily find its place in an Olivia Rodrigo album.
The lyric video for “Body Double” has struck a chord with the TikTok community, amassing over 1.2 million views.
At just 21, Erica Manzoli is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, and musician from South East London. Her journey into the music industry began at the tender age of 14, when she was accepted into the esteemed BRIT School, an institution that has produced stars such as Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Following her self-taught piano lessons and the development of her songwriting skills, Erica graduated from the BRIT School, collaborated with renowned composers and producers across Europe, and shared her music with her rapidly growing online audience.
Erica’s debut EP from 2022, I’m Okay, I Promise, was met with widespread acclaim. Towards the end of the same year, she secured the YoLanda Drake award for ‘Best New Artist’ and provided backing vocals to rising Irish singer-songwriter Cian DuCrot‘s smash hit, “I’ll Be Waiting“, which has garnered over 100 million streams.
