French-Korean singer, songwriter, and producer Spill Tab (real name Claire Chicha) has unveiled her latest single, “De Guerre“, offering fans a tantalizing glimpse into her much-anticipated debut album. The track, released via Because Music, follows her 2024 hit ‘PINK LEMONADE’ and showcases Spill Tab’s boundary-pushing creativity.
Co-produced with apob and Mikey Freedom Hart (known for work with Taylor Swift and Empress Of), “De Guerre” blends hyperpop textures with a synth-bassline and bold percussion. French spoken lyrics weave nonchalantly through interesting melodic motifs, creating a chaotic yet captivating energy. Spill Tab describes the song as her personal soundtrack to “a chaotic night out on the town—dancing, sweating, going absolutely feral.”
Spill Tab’s recent career highlights include supporting Sabrina Carpenter on the Emails I Can’t Send tour, earning widespread acclaim for her stage presence. She also delivered a standout performance at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase, solidifying her reputation as a dynamic live performer.
Born to a French-Algerian composer father and Korean pianist mother, Spill Tab’s formative years were split between Los Angeles, Thailand, and Paris, where she absorbed a range of musical traditions and honed her craft as a vocalist, guitarist, and producer.
Since her 2019 debut with “Decompose”, she has released three EPs —Oatmilk (2020), Bonnie (2021), and Klepto (2023) — collaborating with artists like Metronomy, Matilda Mann, Gus Dapperton, and Tommy Genesis.
Spill Tab’s innovative approach has garnered four ‘Hottest Record’ honors from BBC Radio 1, live performances at the iconic Maida Vale Studios, and significant praise from industry tastemakers like Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music.
