It has been recently announced that streaming platform Spotify has reached 75 millions users, and 20 milions paying subscribers. As the company had claimed 40 millions users and 10 millions paying subscribers in May 2014, these new statistics show Spotify has gained twice the amount of its paying subscribers. It has been also confirmed that this increase will have a relevant impact on the royalties payed by Spotify to the artists, which since the launch of the company in 2008, have reached $3 billion, with $300 million already paid out since the beginning of 2015.
