Sudan Archives is self-taught violinist/vocalist who writes, plays, and produces her own music. She is inspired by Sudanese fiddlers, R&B, and experimental electronic music. All these inspirations are very clear in her new song “Come Meh Way”, where African rhythm, R&B and her gorgeous violin are perfectly matched.
The video filmed in Ghana is very interesting too, it shows the singer playing violin, dancing to the rhythm of African drums and going around an African market.
Speaking about the video she said, “The video was shot in the village of Ashongman, during my first ever trip out of the United States. Visiting Africa has always been a dream of mine and I was fortunate enough to realize this in shooting this music video. I also taught an electronic production class to the children of The North Star School and purchased my first African violin.”
You can listen to her recently 6-track EP on Spotify, Google Play, iTunes and Deezer. It’s worth it. Watch the “Come Meh Way” video below.
