Fast-rising London collective SUN SILVA have released the video for their debut single “Blue Light“.
Premiering exclusively on Clash, the warped video features kaleidoscopic seafront visuals alongside headshots of the band in this mostly performative piece as they take aim at the social media use of today.
Speaking on the video, frontman Oscar Gormley mentioned: “The desolate spaces and stark contrast of sea and land used in the filming of the video reflect on the ghostly feeling of being trapped by a digital ocean of constant social media.”
Having only burst onto the scene with “Blue Light” last month, SUN SILVA have been quick to prove themselves one of the most exciting and in-demand bands emerging from London. “Blue Light” has been receiving strong support from Radio 1 and BBC Introducing alongside great critical acclaim, denoting the idea that this is definitely not a flash in the pan.
