Stockholm-based art project, Echo Thrills, recently released their captivating debut single, “In A Dream.”
This enchanting track was masterminded by artist Oskar Jennefors, who drew inspiration from a serene, lush summer morning spent by the water. The laid-back disco ambiance of the moment permeates throughout the track, inviting listeners into the world of Echo Thrills.
Jennefors crafted the lyrics around the idea of dreams and the surreal journeys they often encompass, invoking a sense of curiosity and wonder in the listeners. In this debut track, Echo Thrills expertly weaves together elements of 70’s disco, soul, jazz, and modern psychedelic rock, offering a truly unique musical experience.
Taking cues from an array of talented artists, “In A Dream” is inspired by the works of legends such as Roy Ayers and Marvin Gaye, as well as contemporary artists like BADBADNOTGOOD, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Tame Impala.
Come August 31, 2023, Echo Thrills is set to release a six-track EP, Destination Utopia. Featuring the lead track “In A Dream,” the EP promises to further showcase the innovative soundscape of Echo Thrills. The EP will be available through the UK-based Platoon Records.
