Australian rockers Tame Impala have dropped a new video for “The Less I Know The Better”, the new single from their summer LP Currents. The video is every bit as bizarre as you could hope, featuring a basketball player getting intimate with a cheerleader before turning into a gorilla – and that’s before the music’s even started.
Though the track has been described by band member Kevin Parker as “dorky, white disco funk” un-befitting the rest of the album, it’s certainly one of the standout tracks from their new release. If you stumbled upon Tame Impala for their retro psych-pop sound and singer’s aural resemblance to John Lennon, you may be a bit taken aback by the surreal video, which features visuals David Lynch would be proud of – in a good way.
