Delaney Clements, a thirteen-year-old with Neuroblastoma (a type of cancer), inspired a worldwide campaign named #DelaneyMeetTaylor. As a testament to how far well-wishers’ support and social media can go, Taylor Swift took notice and made Delaney’s dream come true.
On December 19, Delaney posted one of the photos on Instagram along with the caption: “I was just laying down taking a nap in my room when my mom said I had a visitor. And I thought it might just be another person coming to see how I was. Then suddenly the most amazing miracle happens… The Taylor Swift walked into my bedroom and spent the afternoon with me just talking and hanging!!!! I am beyond Blessed for everyone’s help and support!!! Thank you!!!Happy holidays!!”
Swift also posted a collage of photos with Delaney and wished the young fan a “Merry Christmas”. With such a huge wish granted so close to the holidays, I’m sure that Delaney will never forget this moment.
