The Amazing Snakeheads frontman Dale Barclay took to twitter to announce the split of the band this evening. Barclay also says in the tweet that the band are “never ever to return” and thanked “anyone who came to get down”. The scottish trio have previously had personnel changes with original drummer Jordon Hutchison and bassist William Coombe leaving in June 2014. Coombe returned later that year along side new drummer Scott Duff.
The split does not come as a surprise as it was announced last week that on the eve of the NNE awards tour that The Amazing Snakeheads would be pulling out due to the departure of new drummer Duff. The trio released one critically acclaimed album titled Amphetamine Ballads in 2014 via Domino Records. see the video below for single “Here It Comes Again”.
