Universal Pictures has released the full trailer of Melissa McCarthy‘s upcoming comedy The Boss, and it is hysterical.
In the movie, the actress plays Michelle Darnell, a powerful woman of industry who is sent to prison after being caught for insider trading. Naturally, she will need the help of her ex mistreated employee, played by Kristen Bell, to get back on her feet and return to the top. Gags, laughs, and a bit of empowering feelings are guaranteed in this all-female-fronted comedy.
Although McCarthy is not stretching too far from her previous roles, this character is definitely bringing something new to the table, a refreshing class, badass attitude and clever comedic timing that was missing in the actress’ latest films.
The movie, directed by McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone, will hit the theatres on April 8, 2016. In the meantime, enjoy the brilliant trailer. And buy the brownies!
