Upcoming drama film, Song To Song, released its first trailer earlier today. The minute and a half long clip features the film’s star studded cast in flashes of the Austin music scene and hints at the complicated relationships between the characters.
Ryan Gosling is set to portray the struggling songwriter, BV, opposite to the music mogul, Cook, played by Michael Fassbender. The two chase success through a rock ‘n’ roll backdrop and try to “roll and tumble, live from song to song, kiss to kiss”, as Rooney Mara’s character, Faye, narrates in the trailer.
The trailer also features Gosling singing, a talent that surprises no one after the actor’s recent hit with the musical film, La La Land, opposite Emma Stone.
Song To Song is directed by Terrence Malick and will be released under Broad Green Pictures. The film first began shooting in 2012 and will now debut as an opening night film at SXSW 2017 on Friday, March 10! You can check out the theatrical post, which dropped Friday, here.
