2016 will see plans to open a stage version of The Hunger Games at a new venue next to Wembley Stadium come to pass. This dystopian fantasy has graced success in both its best-selling books and blockbuster movies, but can it have the same impact from the all live stage? The synopsis remains the same, with a group of teenagers going into a ruthless game of life and death. The idea was announced by the film studio Lionsgate and they are set to team up with Triangular Entertainment and Dutch media company Imagine Nation, to make this new venture happen. It is to be produced by Tony Award winner Robin de Levita among others.
