Seth Rogen is the ‘man’ in terms of comedy. He is brilliant and I have liked all the movies that this guy has made throughout the years. The Night Before is special and funny in its own way, it is filled with the classic adult and drug oriented jokes that Seth is known for. The film has great cameos and a great cast all around (big thumbs up for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie). There is a short appearance of Miley Cyrus, who was brilliantly funny and her performance of ‘Wrecking Ball ‘ really added to the fun of the movie. Also expect to see another familiar face who has been collaborated with Rogen in the past years.
The Night Before is also a heartwarming film that has some sentimental storytelling that just might make you a little misty eyed. It is a great story about friendship, about three friends really growing up in their own ways. I kind of wish the three characters, Ethan, Isaac and Chris Roberts, were my friends. They were awesome, each of them screwed up in their own way. But together they were strong and could face anything. Watching this film I got into the Christmas spirit and I can say I absolutely loved it. 10 out of 10 comedy.
