This weekend Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson hosted the 2016 Movie Awards in at the Warner Bros. Studios in California. As per usual, the red carpet presented a glamorous array of high fashion. Kendall Jenner in particular caught the eye of many with her exceedingly long lace up boots, which took two people to tie. The boots worked a treat in creating a gothic look with her ruffled black cut dress which framed her accentuated legs.
Despite the beginning of spring, many of the award ceremony’s guests chose black attire. Jenner’s renowned best friend, model, Gigi Hadid, followed the gothic trend with a stylish pin stripe suit and choker. Fellow model Cara Delevinge also opted for a suit with mesh panels and clean cuts and fits for a sleek look.
Others to follow the trend included Jessica Chastain, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron (winner of ‘Best Female Performance’), Lizzy Caplan, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson (winner of ‘Best Kiss’). This maybe suggests wearing black this spring is something to look out for.
