Ok, yes, it finally happened. And yes, we cried. Everything was damn perfect, they looked amazing, the dress was incredible, the place was stunning and Prince Harry said the words we all want to hear: “You look amazing, I’m so lucky”. We’re going to talk about every single detail of the day but now there’s something equally important to talk about: The Best Dressed.
We could see elegant, simple and refined dresses, exactly what we were expecting from a Royal Wedding. But not only the Royals were perfectly dressed, – in fact, most of the best outfits were worn by non-royal guests – friends of the couple, family, socialites, we have all the best looks.
Let’s start with one of our relationship goals couples: David and Victoria Beckham. She wore a dress signed by herself, perfect for the occasion. And he wore a Dior suit, one of the first designs by their new Creative Director. We definitely want them in our weddings.
Our second favourite cuple: George and Amal Clooney. We love both outfits but, let’s be clear, a Royal Wedding is not the best place to wear yellow, is it?
All the ex-mates of the bride, Meghan Markle, were equally amazing. Patrick J.Adams from Suits and Troyan Bellisario from Pretty Little Liars looked stunning together. Jacinda Barrett and her groom wore matching colours on her dress and his tie, so adorable, and Carey Mulligan totally convinced us with her floral dress. Oprah, oh Oprah, you’re always right. Dear Serena Williams, nothing to envy, you looked so beautiful.
Let’s talk about Royals. Pippa Middleton and James Matthews, you rocked it. Kate Middleton, we don’t know what to think. It was the 4th time she wore that outfit and, some say that she did it because she didn’t want to eclipse the bride. Okay we get it, but for the next time, don’t do it again.
Queen Elizabeth, you are always right, we love your style, approved. Lady Kitty Spencer you were one of the best best best dressed, congratulations. And Doria Ragland, the beautiful mum of the amazing bride, you looked beautiful too.
