As reported by GRM Daily, American magazine The Source has named Skepta and Kojey Radical as two of their British artists to watch out for in 2016.
They have documented Skepta’s rise to fame, noting work with the likes of Wiley. The publication also say he has “revived a whole genre and arguably gave the scene a new height than the golden era of mid 2000s”. Furthermore it is said he is “one of the pioneers of post-millennium British music”.
Kojey Radical, meanwhile, is considered a slightly less obvious choice but does, however, come with backing from BBC 1Xtra. His contributions are described as “lyrical narrative with alternative left of field beats, exhibiting strong remnants of the much-heralded Bristol Trip-Hop explosion of the 90s”.
