It’s been a busy few weeks in terms of new collections for Topshop who released their ‘Ivy Park’ Beyonce collaboration last week. The companies’ label Topshop Unique has now launched its first ever high summer collection. The 20-piece collection is available in stores and on Net-a-Porter. The capsule designs are inspired by the British annual sporting event the Henley Royal Regatta which is often seen to mark the start of Summer.
The designs follow a high class vibe, with masculine suits and cuts and a higher price tag. Although the clothing is ensured to keep a fun summer look with its use of bright patterns, whilst also keeping a casual tone by using lace and knit fabrics. The use of knitwear in a summer collection may seem odd but following the British inspiration, designs have been fashioned to incorporate the famous gloomy British weather.
