The trio called Toto Bona Lokua have released their new single “Ma Mama” via Nø Førmat and it is produced by label founder Laurent Bizot. On top of that, they also revealed details today for their upcoming album Bondeko that will be out on January 19, 2018. The title of the album Bondeko translated from the Congolese language of Lingala means fraternity or friendship.
The trio consist of French songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gerald Toto, Cameroonian jazz musician Richard Bona and Congolese singer/songwriter Lokua Kanza.
Followed by their different heritages in Africa marks their ability to generate unique music, sound and language by mixing ancestral cultures together. Although it is a beautiful blend, it has taken time for the trio to synchronise three full diaries to create music together, but they found their way eventually.
