The New York based contemporary fashion brand, Trademark, has announced that in a revamp of its brand image, they will be dropping their clothes lines to focus further on their accessories including jewellery, bags and shoes. The brand was launched three years ago by Louisa Burch and Pookie Burch, daughters of fashion retail businessman Christopher Burch. The business also announced it will be closing its flagship store at 95 Grand Street, Manhattan to focus on online trade.
Louisa told WWD: “When my sister Pookie and I started Trademark, it was with the idea of creating timeless designs with the highest level of craftsmanship, tailored to today’s market. By channeling our energy into accessories, we will be able to expand on our best-performing category. This move will also allow us to be more agile as a company, not relying on the constraints of showing on the fashion calendar, which is strenuous on small businesses”.
