During a recent show, rapper Travi$ Scott noticed that some people weren’t as enthused as he’d like them to be, so he expressed his annoyance. He started off by saying he wasn’t cool with “none of you faggots who just sitting here looking like a bunch of quitters”. Bad move.
To make up for his horrible word choice, he apologized on Twitter: “AT MY SHOWS I GET A LIL TURNT UP. SORRY FOR THAT BUT NEVER WILL I EVER DISRESPECT THAT COMMUNITY” was the first of his many subsequent tweets on the subject. It’s good that he acknowledged and did something about it, as many people do not. Though, in an ironic turn of events, he used another slur towards the end of his apology.
