During his first official Golf Fashion show, Tyler, The Creator performed a new track, currently being referred to as “Ego”. Musically it follows in the footsteps of his more loud and sonically aggressive tracks like “Deathcamp” or his Kanye West “Freestyle 4” remix “WHAT THE F*** RIGHT NOW”, with the brassy, loud synths and bass heavy drum tracks.
Lyrically, it makes a lot of reference to Tyler’s UK visa problems which have not allowed him into the country. Talking about Theresa May, the UK home secretary, he raps: “They said some old lines was offensive/I was young I can’t apologize for that s***/They took my fiction literature for literal/I ain’t no motherf*****’ criminal”.
