A number have musicians have thrown their support behind Democratic Party nominee Bernie Sanders in recent months, and you can now add two more names to the list. Foster the People and Vampire Weekend performed at a rally for the politician in Iowa City last night. The latter of the two bands played with a makeshift lineup, with Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth filling in for missing band members.
Vampire Weekend may be reeling from the decision of keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij to leave the band in the past week, but this didn’t stop Ezra Koenig and co from throwing their support behind the Democratic candidate.
