Ever since it’s initial announcement back in 2013, we’ve only managed to see a couple of images and teasers relating to the film. Today DisneyPixar has released an entirely brand new trailer that showcases some of the backstory, as well as new characters our heroes will be meeting along the way.
Set to be a sequel to 2003’s Finding Nemo, the film will focus on the character of Dory (played by Ellen DeGeneres) and her journey to return to her family.
Much like the original, the film is expected to once again touch upon important values, such as family, friends and the notion of home. Albert Brooks will be reprising his role as Marlin the Clownfish, and actors Diane Keaton and Eugene Levee are set to play the role of Dory’s parents.
Finding Dory is slated for release on June 17th this year.
