No matter which part of the galaxy you reside in, you can now rejoice as the new trailer for the first Star Wars anthology standalone movie has finally arrived!
The new footage assembles the team, which will embark on a mission to retrieve the plans of the Empire’s new weapon. This includes our new lead, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), recruited by Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and his closest friend, a robot, voiced by Alan Tudyk, who gives the best prep talk in Star Wars hostory as he estimates the mission’s failure rate at around 90%.
On board are also fan favourites Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen), a blind samurai-like figure who has a special connection with the Force and his companion Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang). We also get a good look at the bad guys, namely Ben Mendelsohn‘s stylish Director Krennic and the trailer closes with a sneak peak on Star Wars’ most legendary character, Darth Vader himself!
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is deep in post-production as the Gareth Edward’s vehicle has had a somewhat tumultuous development so far, following reshoots and recent news that Disney brought in editor, Tony Gilroy. However, we are hopeful that the final product coming out in December will deliver! You can now see the new trailer for yourself below:
