The first It Follows trailer is out and it is seriously disturbed. Directed by David Robert Mitchell, this creepy new horror is set to freak its audience with its incredibly dark storyline. Staring Maika Monroe, It Follows tells the story of seventeen year old Jay, who after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter, finds herself plagued by horrific visions and the constant feeling of something – or someone – watching her, torturing her and pushing her closer to the edge of darkness. Creepy, right?
This is just the second full-length feature from Mitchell so the jury’s still out on his ability. However, if the trailer is anything to go by, we could be looking at a seriously messed up horror movie. Monroe takes center stage as the haunted Jay and has notched up her fair share of roles in movies like Labor Day and The Bling Ring. The film has already had a lengthy festival run including Cannes, The Toronto International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest and AFI Fest, so this gives us high hopes for a hit. Also starring Linda Boston, Keir Gilchrist, Jake Weary and Daniel Zovatto, It Follows hits theatres early 2015. Take a look at the trailer below.
