The cult following of eclectic American rockers Ween will be rejoicing today, with news that the band will return for two Colorado shows this coming February. Pseudo-brothers Gene and Dean Ween also announced they had been working on “new stuff that has never been heard live before”, years on from the band’s breakup.
Famed for their experimental, tongue in cheek musical style, it appeared the band were gone for good following the acrimonious split in 2012, with lead singer Aaron Freeman releasing a soft rock solo record, and even finding time to collaborate with Skrillex. The band, best known by mainstream audiences for their 1997 track “Ocean Man“, promised that their new shows will be “f**king mind blowing”.
