Welsh songwriter Benji Tranter, alongside bandmates Elizabeth Walsh and Adam Fletcher, collectively known as Ski Lift just released their power-pop latest single “Double Yellow”.
Following the energetic vibe of their previous hit “Living The Dream”, Ski Lift’s latest single, “Double Yellow”, takes listeners on a journey through the streets of Croydon, painted with Tranter’s observations during the 2021 lockdown.
Inspired by his daily walks around his neighborhood, this new track aims to highlight the beauty of life’s simple moments. Tranter reflects on the importance of slowing down and appreciating the often overlooked details of our surroundings, a sentiment beautifully captured in the song’s heady harmonies and electric guitar riffs.
Here “Double Yellow” highlights Ski Lift’s ability to transform ordinary experiences into captivating indie-pop anthems. With their signature blend of introspective lyricism and catchy melodies, Ski Lift continues to captivate audiences, solidifying their place in the indie music scene.
Ski Lift’s journey began in 2018, with just a group of talented friends! Now they can be proud of having a BBC Introducing session under their belt and accolades from BBC Wales and were even made “Artist of the Week” across BBC Midlands. Over time Ski Lift positioned itself as a rising force to be recognised in the indie music landscape.
Since consolidating their lineup in 2021, the trio has been on a mission, sharing the stage with renowned bands such as Holiday Ghosts, ARXX, and mary in the junkyard. Their music has been praised by Gemma Bradley, Tom Robinson, and Huw Stephens, among others, and has found its way onto top Spotify playlists. The band was even featured on Channel 4’s TV show “Made In Chelsea”.
Stay tuned for more powerful tracks from Ski Lift as they continue to provide listeners with their infectious tunes and cover several concert dates. “Double Yellow” is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for this talented trio.
